Description
Newspaper Clipping titled Founders' Day Set Wednesday by University. Article discusses first Founders' Day with an academic procession. Also discusses honorary degrees to be given to: Most Rev. Thomas K. Gorman bishop of the Dallas-Fort Worth Diocese, Edward R. Maher, and E. Constantin Jr. All three are founders of the school and are members of the trustee executive committee. Doctor of Humane Letters degrees will be awarded to Gen. Douglas MacArthur, Patrick J. Hurley, and Robert C. Hill. Ceremonies were held in the school's main administration building (Carpenter Hall).
